Tech Tip: Some characters must be encoded in a multi-styled text object

When creating a multi-styled text data, it is important to encode some characters accordingly. Otherwise, they may be considered as part of the html structure which can break the rendering of the multi-styled text.

A character such as &, <, or > should be encoded or replaced with an HTML entity.

For example:

   &   replaced with   &amp;  or  &#38;

   <   replaced with   &lt;  or  &#60;

   >   replaced with   &gt;  or  &#62;
