4D products will no longer be using the “v” term for both Long Term Support (LTS) and Feature (R) releases. When downloading 4D beta, hotfix, nightly build or official releases, note that the naming convention has been updated for the installers. For LTS releases, starting at build 101188, the “v” is omitted and “LTS” is added (e.g., “4D 20.2 LTS”). For R releases, starting at build 100256, the “v” is omitted (e.g., “4D 20 R4”). For Windows users, this means that if the previous install had “v” in the name, it would not be automatically replaced by a new install.
