After you have bought 4D expansion licenses to supplement your 4D application, you may notice that activating those expansion licenses will automatically populate whatever other expansion licenses you have for your main license as well. Your license folder may also have only your master licenses after activation as well.

Below is an example of how the license manager and license folder looks after activating just the client expansion license. Only the v20 server license is shown under the license folder, even when the expansion license is in the license manager window.





4D’s new mechanism to manage licenses will now merge any expansion licenses to its attached master license. As long as the expansion licenses still show up under the license manager window, it is ready to be used.
