Tech Tip: "Failed to Synch Resources" when connection to 4D Server
PRODUCT: 4D | VERSION: 20 | PLATFORM: Mac & Win
Published On: October 21, 2024

When trying to connect a remote client to a server, there may be an issue when connecting where the client is able to connect to the server once, but on subsequent tries is unable to without deleting the old connection and making a new one. Every try at reconnection would result in a "Failed to Synch Resources" error message.

For some cases, the source of the problem comes from the .DS_Store file, which is located inside of the project folder. This is a file automatically created from the macOS when the folder is looked into with 'Finder' and could've been transferred over to the client when compressing the folder. The presense of this file ccould cause synchronization issues, and it is safe to delete the file when encountering this error.
