Tech Tip: Interpreted components not recognized
PRODUCT: 4D | VERSION: 20 | PLATFORM: Mac & Win
Published On: November 11, 2024

In the event that interpreted components placed in the component folder are not showing up in your project, it may be due to an incorrect labeling of the component's folder. Check to make sure that the component project folders have been converted to a .4Dbase package. In the case of compiled components, it already has the .4Dbase suffix, so it should be recognized by 4D automatically.

Conversion is simple, as the .4Dbase suffix being added to the end of the folder name will convert it automatically. Undoing this conversion is also simple, as the suffix just needs to be removed. The benefits of converting folders this way is that it can be double clicked (Mac) or dragged onto the 4D icon to be quicklly accessed, while retaining the normal features of a folder.
