When opening an application running on 4D Server from a remote client, an error message may be encountered that states:

-10537 | Can't open database {application_name} because it is not using object notation.



This may occur when the application is converted from a previous version on 4D Server. When initially launching it on 4D Server, a prompt may appear to allow temporary enabling of the object notation compatibility option:



Even if "OK" is selected, to prevent remote clients from encountering error -10537, the "Use object notation to access object properties" option must be manually enabled in structure settings on 4D Server.
