When a remote client is abruptly disconnected from the server, an error message may be displayed that states the following:



This may occur when the server is still active, but the remote client has stopped receiving data stream (generally due to a network socket being closed.) If the remote client normally connects to the server via a VPN, check if the VPN has been disconnected unexpectedly when the remote client was connected to the server. This can be a cause for the “Socket stream is over” error message.
