Tech Tip: Focusing on Selected Table in Structure Editor

Larger 4D databases can contain many tables and relationships. In some cases, the number of tables can make it difficult to view the tables and relationships as the relations may be covered by other tables. For example, The People and Relations table in the image below have relationships but it cannot be seen due to the other tables:

A feature of the Structure editor is to dim the tables, this can also be used to hide tables that are not relavant at the moment.
This can be done by:
This will dim all tables that are not related to the selected table making it a lot easier to view the relations and related tables:

- First selecting the table (not the field)
- The go to the folder icon at the top and select the dropdown:
- Then select the "Dim Others" item.
This will dim all tables that are not related to the selected table making it a lot easier to view the relations and related tables:
