Tech Tip: 4D TLS Encryption in QUIC
PRODUCT: 4D | VERSION: 20 | PLATFORM: Mac & Win
Published On: October 13, 2025
The QUIC network layer, introduced in 4D v20, is a new communication protocol designed to address the limitations of older network layers. Unlike ServerNet, which required manual activation of encrypted communication, QUIC enables TLS communications by default. As a result, the Encrypt Client-Server communication checkbox is automatically hidden, since QUIC communications are always secured with TLS regardless of the selected mode.
