The error “expected end of tag 'body'” that appears during project startup indicates that an XML file within the 4D package is malformed. The most common cause is a manual modification error introduced by a developer, often when editing files such as .xlf files.

There are two ways to resolve this issue:

1. Manually validate XML files
   Review all .xlf files in the project and ensure they are valid XML. Verify that every tag is properly closed and that no manual edits have introduced broken or incomplete tags.


2. Reinstall or rebuild
   Reinstall 4D or rebuild the application to restore the affected files to a valid state.
