When using 4D Draw, you may want to import vector-based graphics. By default, if you import a PICT file, all the objects will be grouped with no way for you to dissociate them. If you want all the objects of the PICT to be imported separately, you will need to set the preferences as follows:

1. In the Layout menu, choose Set Preferences
2. In the "Open/Paste PICTs as" area, select Objects.

Once this option is selected each object in the PICT will be imported separately.

Note: this will also apply to any PICT's contents pasted in 4D Draw.
