Tech Tip: App Nap Automatically Disabled

App Nap is a feature introduced in Mac OS X Mavericks that caused unwanted slowdowns for 4D servers that were left to run without regular user interaction.

With the 64 Bit 4D Server, Finder does not display the setting to disable/enable App Nap, however, with the latest versions of v14 and up 4D automatically prevents App Nap from activating.

As shown below from left to right are the 'Get Info' windows for 4Dv14 Server 64 Bit, 4Dv14 Server 32 Bit, 4Dv15 Server 64 Bit and 4Dv15 Server 32 Bit:



Although the Activity Monitor may show App Nap being active, it is automatically disabled by 4D:
