When needing to modify the backup settings in a built application from project mode, there are a couple things to keep in mind.

1. Since the structure settings of a compiled project mode application is read only, you will need to enable and use the user settings instead. See this TechTip: Enable User Settings for instructions.


2. Also, you will need to make sure to enable specifically the User Settings for Data file rather than just the standard User Settings. This is because the former includes the backup settings while the latter does not.

Once the User Settings for Data file has been enabled, you can access it through the File menu on the server to modify the backup settings. If you do not see the option for User Settings for Data file under the File menu, make sure your current data file is not saved next to the structure file.
